Rowing Europe – Rowing and travel in Eastern Europe.

Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic and also one of the most beautiful. It is the historical capital of Bohemia. The city is located in the northwest
of the country on the Vltava River and counts about 1.24
million inhabitants. The larger urban zone is home to an estimated 2 million people.
Prague is a political, cultural and economic center in Central Europe. Prague is home to a number of famous
cultural attractions, many of which survived the violence and destruction of 20th century Europe. Main attractions are Prague Castle, Charles Bridge – through which we usually row – Old Town Square with the Prague Astronomical Clock, the Jewish Quarter, Petřín Hill and Vyšehrad.

Since 1992, the extensive historical center of Prague has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Some of these attractions you can enjoy while rowing along
the Vltava River. The city has more than ten major museums, as well as numerous theaters, galleries, cinemas and other
historical exhibits. An extensive modern public transportation system connects the city. Its rich history
makes it a popular tourist destination, and the city receives more than 4.4 million international visitors annually. From the
year 2011, Prague occupies the fifth place on the list of the most visited destinations in 2014. Prague is the fifth most visited European city after London. Paris and Berlin.

We will row from Prague to Dresden, about 200 km within one week. The tour is a bit more demanding. Rowers should have sufficient fitness.
