Rowing in Europe – No. 1 for Mosel Tours

The Moselle is a river that flows through France, Luxembourg and Germany. It is a left tributary of the Rhine, with which it joins in Koblenz. A small part of Belgium is also drained by the Moselle through the Sûre and the Our.

The source of the Moselle lies on the western slope of the Ballon d’Alsace in the Vosges Mountains. The Moselle flows through the Lorraine region, west of the Vosges Mountains.

Further downstream, in Germany, the Moselle Valley forms the border between the Eifel and Hunsrück regions. Its total length from the source to the mouth is about 546 km and rowing is possible shortly after Metz.

The German part of the river is a very romantic part, with small villages and towns. Not to be neglected are the vineyards and wines that you will find between Perl, Trier and Koblenz.

No one knows this area better than Rowing in Europe. We have organized numerous tours there. All with great success. Our tour is very interesting. You will pass 3 countries. Little traffic except for some cargo ships, not too many locks. Visits to castles and wine tasting are possible.

Our tours start either in France and Luxembourg or in Germany. The 6/7 days tour is the most common and starts a few kilometers after the French border and brings us to the ancient city to Trier. We will have time to go sightseeing and enjoy the ancient Roman buildings.

Rowing brings us to one of the best white wine sites in Europe. We will stop in Bernkastel and Cochem . If you wish, we will taste a wine or visit castles. Koblenz will be our final destination.

Visit this city and enjoy the old town with beautiful historic buildings. During our trip we will stay in small hotels or guesthouses. Very romantic tour. Bring your partner.

The tour is intended for partners who enjoy cycling. Rowers and bikers make the same daily trips.
